Enid is one of those West Indians who came to England in the fifties, determined to become "Miss English". Abandoned by her husband she has struggled to bring up two daughters to live her dreams. Well intentioned advice from her long time rum-head friend Brodrick doesn't help her much... This British West Indian playwright's "Leave Taking" shows a deeply moving picture of alienation in limbo.
